Restriction on seating depths due to magazine length

You can use a meplat trimmer to flatten the tips of plastic-tipped bullets to increase the OAL as long as you are consistent in your trimming it seems to have no ill effects. I do this for a rifle I have that has the same issue with magazine length vs OAL to wring a little more accuracy out of it

In my hunting rifles where i want a mag length or shorter OAL i have found with a.seating depth test i can find a very accurate OAL considerably shorter than mag length.

I helped a friend with his T3 lite in 308. First thing we did was get the longer 30-06 mag box. Altered the bolt stop which is easy after viewing this video:
