The local Catholic church held a "draw-down" fund-raiser for a young woman who has lots of medical issues. Typical stuff, main event was the draw-down and they had a silent auction too, but as you walked in the door, there's this table with a Ruger bolt-action rifle as an extra drawing item. $5 per ticket. I asked what caliber it was and was told, "whatever is standard from Ruger. .223, .308, 6.5 Creedmoor". Local gun shop was donating the rifle and would order it in whatever caliber you wanted. I think every guy in the place bought at least one ticket. I bought two but sadly, it wasn't my day. I did pick up a CPR/First Aid refresher course on the silent auction. I'm overdue, it's been 10 years.
