2017 F-Class Match Schedule - Bucksnort Shooting Club: Marshall, MO

Jade,
Pull the trigger.. make the trip up to the match, I'm sending my entry form in today! Might be a few more Ky boy's making the 8 hr drive. Would be great to get to meet and learn a few things from you!

Mike

I gotta make sure i can go work wise before i commit. I would really like to get up there and meet/shoot with all you guys. I'm sure it would be a great time. It's about 13 hour drive for me give or take. Not near the miles Drew puts down but far enough.......:D

I totally understand... I thought I was going to have a long drive! lol Hope you can make, would be great to meet you and a bunch of the other shooters.

Thanks,
Mike

If Jade's coming I'm going to shoot the new 34" barrel and 230 Hybrids...don't want to be under-gunned for this one. Looks like this is shaping up to be one heck of a shoot out in F-TR with lots of very fine shooters attending and it should be a lot of fun. Anyone that thinks they might want to come should really make every effort to attend this match. It's a great bunch of folks, great competition, great prizes, great food...what's not to like?

I seem to remember a certain guy taking everyone behind the wood shed that was shooting .308s last year. Pretty sure he was running a little mouse gun .223!........:D

From what I heard that same guy gave up 6 points in three successive shots in the 3rd match of the day at St. Louis last weekend using the 200.20Xs. I wasn't at Bucksnort for the Regional, but people that were told me the wind conditions were even more challenging than at St. Louis. Increasing bullet weight/BC incrementally seems to be the general trend (i.e. move from 185s to 200s, or from 200s to 215s) amongst the F-TR crowd. I figured why not just go straight to the top of the heap with the 230s? You won't find a higher BC 30 cal bullet. Recoil management is definitely a consideration, but unlike most of the places I regularly shoot, the line at Bucksnort is grass rather than concrete, so I have a plan for that ;).

Think you'll make it up to this one? It'd be great to have you come up and shoot! I still haven't heard for sure whether Brad will drive up this year or not. I hope so. If you can make it, it ought to be a great match. There were many fine shooters there last year and this year's crowd looks to be about as tough competition as anyone would ever want. I'll be shocked if it isn't a hotly contested match. Regardless of the outcome, it's always an honor and privilege to compete among such an outstanding group and I'm sure it will be a lot of fun.

The check is in the mail for Donnie & Travis Greer.

We only ask for one thing!

Less wind!!

Doubt if we see another headwind match in July. A southern tailwind or a west wind will be likely. Calm mornings are a summer norm here. Sounds like some FTR records may get broken this year! Good luck guys.

I'm already in training for this match, (ate fried crappie for breakfast) Lol.
With the River floods we may have to help save the frogs @Moonlight thefrogfryer.com or with other sides. We really need some tables for this also if you have some room and want to help out. I'm not doing Sunday soup again but will bring something for the sat meal. Maybe I'll cook a cat for Laney . Lol
Jade, if you decide to come up then I need you to bring me some crawfish sausage! We need to talk if you know where some good is. Lol
