New hunting rig!

I just got this back from the smith Thursday after a LONG wait (we had some parts and reamer issues) In the end it all seems to have worked out into a great rig and I am very pleased with it so far.
Remington SA completely blue printed and trued - PTG spiral fluted bolt with tac handle
Jewel trigger
Tubbs extra heavy recoil lug
Steel base 20 MOA
McMillan A5 stock pillared and bedded
Hart 29" barrel
Burris tactical signature rings with 20 MOA added
NXS 5.5-22X56 MOART
Sinclair tactical bipod

Had it built in a 300ATLAS (used the Weatherby improved case 40 degree shoulder) tight neck with .236 freebore. I have only got 15 rounds down the barrel but it is shooting right out of the box showing some nice potential. I have to play a little when fine tuning but it looks like the 230 grain Berger's are going to be the ticket and they are going between 3000 and 3050fps depending on where the final load finishes. Needless to say I am happy with it, If I have time this weekend I will take it out to around 1200 yards and see what she does. Then if all goes well it will be my groundhog / deer gun for the rest of year (or until I get crazy and sale it LOL)

Thanks,
bolt on wrong side??? LOL least of my problems with the 230's I have to pull the bolt out each time to load it til I get the port opened a little! When I had the reamer made I was figuring to use some 200 grain ELDX hornaday's. ended up trying the 230's so now they don't fit well and I have a ton of ELDX's to look at!

Whats your OAL? I can load 300RUM's in my XP-100 without pulling the bolt. Shooting 230's hung way out there in that one too. Close to 4" OAL. Just gotta put the bullet in first and it all goes in pretty well.

3.966 it's close but no cigar. I have run lots of RUM'S that I ran in SA but they were a little shorter than this one.

Interesting, that's really close to what I'm running my RUM at. Hopefully your smith can open the port up a little so it works out for you.

oh yeah he can do it, it is an easy fix. I probably wont do it til next year "IF I KEEP IT" since it is shooting well.
Just got back with my first trip out long 1020 yards. My program was only out 1 click and I have 99 minutes left in my scope. I am going to do some MINOR seating depth tweaks but here is what I got.
