Need 3x fired brass for Harrells FL bushing dies??? (new rifle, no dies)

Is there any way with a new rifle and no current dies to get 3x fired brass to send to Harrells for custom FL bushing dies? Firing one time is no problem, but I'll need a neck die to reload for the second and third firings unless I'm messing something. Any ideas?

If you have a neck bushing, tap it on half way and twist it back off. You only need enough to hold a bullet in so powder wont dump out.
I have used this method several times, and it works great. Use sizing lube and control the bushing size so that you are keeping tension to no more than 1 or 2 thou....makes it a lot easier to get the bushing off.

I called Harrells when I bought my first 6PPC. They sent me a die to use until I fired my brass three times. They told me to send it back to them with a couple of 3x fired brass and they would send me the correct die for my rifle. They are the greatest guys in the business to work with.

If the neck diameter of your chamber isn't more than 0.003"-0.004" larger than the neck diameter of a loaded round, you don't even need a neck die. Just drop the bullet on top of the powder in a fired case, chamber carefully with the muzzle pointed slightly upward to keep the bullet from falling out and spilling powder in your action, aim, and shoot. This has always worked for me.

Thanks Alex. I was thinking about doing this but not sure. I gotta order my bushings anyway so this way I don't waste any money.

They are good guys. I've called them a couple times and I enjoyed talking to them both times. I may see about this route if I don't just try Alex's way.
