What to do with a old scope

I have a Redfield 6400 in 24X.
Outside is in very good condition. Everything works.
Problem is lens need cleaning.
Send out to clean or throw away.
I'd like to find out what it's worth if the lens are cleaned.

OP,
I have had several scopes done by Ackermans. They do great work. Fix it up and use it. They are good scopes

It doesn't matter, really. Snert moved to Pa. The Pa.groundhogs are smarter than those NY groundhogs .He'll also have to relearn his holds for the new coriolis affect.:D It changes as you move south.

Go outside on a sunny day, catch some bees, then try pointing the scope backwards at the bees to see if you can burn them like you would with a magnifying glass? :p

This poor guy wants to know if his scope is any good (it is) and here ya are Josh, simplificating the issue with the coriopolis effect. (BTW I am now 20 mins from Coraopolis, where I can get some good honing bones) (can you PM me about how far south the effect starts to change, cause I missed a rat today with my marauder, and it was wide to the counterclockwise so maybe there is something to it.)

I like the 6400, and the 3200 even more. They clean up nice and are fun on older 22's etc, especially restorations. I have a 513T ready for sale that would look great with that scope on it.

I just want to hear from the OP...are ya sending it to me or did I convince you to fix it up?

Adverjectivoun. Back hills, isolated mountain speak, basically. ;) Think "Deliverance", with a little Banjo music in the background. Appalachia in the 1920's.:p

I would contact Bill Ackerman or even Leupold about getting it cleaned.

The 6400 is a CLASSIC in league with Unertl. Unless you got the scope and don't know what you have.... Like found it in a barn, in orig wooden case with several crated-up WW-II jeeps, and some unfired Garand sniper rifles sets... was Noah's pair of Unicorns in one of the stalls?

Sell it here or list it on Ebay; even as-is it should bring some decent money. Then again, not too many reasons to get all misty-eyed over old scopesights, aside from the nostalgia factor.
