6mm creedmoor for 1000?

ShootStraight22, are you sure that you can improve Berger hybrid 105's BC by 7% with pointing? That is an impressive improvement and I'll add it to my routine if it is so. I am not being facietious, just inquiring. Thanks Tom.

Tom,
That 7% is a pretty accurate number from my experience. I have tested them pointed and unpointed at ORSA on many occasions. I consistently see a 1.25-1.5 moa vertical improvement running the 105s pretty hard.

I've got a 26" Bartlein chambered in 6 Creedmoor. It was only logical for me after shooting a 6.5 Creedmoor since 2009. I have gone as high as ten firings on most of the "crappy Hornady brass" and the only thing that stopped me after that was loose primer pockets.
The 6CM is shooting great for me too. I was able to get the 105 Hybrid centered on a 1000 yard target with 6.6 mils elevation from my 100 yard zero. That's with 42 grains H4350. No indications of brass problems at this point and my chrono says 3160 FPS average with a 10 SD.
I am just about to recut a 6 Dasher chamber for 6 CM for one of my long range BR rifles. It's a 28" tube and I am really curious to see just how it works out.

I thought that was about right.. I do know when you run the numbers through JBM that 5%-7% added BC sure does look nice, but can upset some when they see their stability factor drop because of a 1-8twist barrel.. That's one reason I'm dead set on purchasing a 1-7.5..

Hornady makes special runs for them at higher quality standards but normal customers cannot buy them.

Getting into the 6mm Creedmoor and did a search for some info and found this. It's 100% untrue. Don't believe it. Not sure where he heard it but it's the same brass and ammo as anyone can buy. Just wanted to set the record straight. Sorry for pulling up this old thread.

No need to apologize, Rob, you make a very valid point about bad information and the internet.

Besides, now we can discuss the new Lapua 6.5 Creedmoor brass and neck it down for use as the 6mm Creedmoor.;)

Jay after their test of the 6.5 Creedmoor I find it hard to take anything posted as anything but anecdotal evidence.
