300 BO 700 SA detach mag

I am in the process of building another 300 BO on a 700 SA, but I want this one to have a detach mag. What is working well?

I actually would like to place this in a MAGPUL 700 hunter stock, but I have been told the BM only comes in 308 mags. I presume this is true as I have not been able to find any with a 223 mag.

Any info with REAL LIFE experience is welcomed...

I am unfamiliar with the Magpul stock in question but I assume it takes AICS type mags since you referenced the 308 magazine.

I have a 223 with badger dbm and have ran both MDT & AccurateMag magazines in it. Lots of people swear the MDT is best thing since sliced bread but I HATE mine. It locks up very often. The AccuMag on the other hand is great. It is pretty much the exact size and fit of a AICS mag exterior with a plastic insert that runs the 223 type cartridge. I would 100% go that route again. Plus, to my knowledge they are only ones currently making a 5 rnd. All other manufacturers are 10rd and full plastic. If your wanting a hunting type rifle, the more compact 5 can really be nice.

I hear that Accuacy International is supposed to be introducing a metal 10rd (their discontinued plastic 10 rounders get mixed reviews also) soon but I hadn't heard or seen one yet...

Also, pt&g is making a dbm that will accept AR-15 mags if one desired that route.

Good luck...

I have some Remington 700 rifles set up with PTG bottom metal and I run AICS and MDT mags with no problems. I use them for .204, .223, .300 blk
My stocks are B&C and HS precision

Are any of these systems compatiable with a switch barrel/bolt 223/308 setup?

I've got a R700 rifle that is currently set up as a single feed switch barrel that I'm probably going to take out of my target rifle set and put back in a McM stock. I've already got both bolts for it and I've been wondering if there is a way to set it up so that it can still be a switch barrel rig?
