I was wondering If anybody has tried 20 vt brass from High Plains Brass. They make it from military 223 brass? Seems like a good price and would save a lot of time.
High Plains brass tested by a few at www.saubier.com. Search on "high plains 20 vartarg brass". With a neck wall thickness of .017-.018 it will require neck turning. Can't get much easier than just running 221FB brass thru a 20VT fl die.
You can buy Lapua 221FB brass for $65/100 and save yourself a LOT of time and trouble. I found the LC conversion very time consuming, most of which was in the neck turning operation. Lapua only requires a light neck clean up. LC requires major excavation.
