Seb Mini vs Seb NEO?

I am getting ready to order a new front rest and wanted to see if anyone has used the Seb Mini and how it would compare to the NEO? Not so much worried about the cost difference but is the folding Mini anywhere near as stable as the much heavier NEO...curious.

Just do like I did and get on the list for both as you'll be waiting for a while. Plenty of time to think it over then. I really hope the Mini is the ticket for me since it's not as expensive and easier to move around.

I'm currently waiting on a mini to supplement my Dolphin Company co-axial. The videos that have been posted so far by guys running 284s and 300 win mags is evidence enough that the mini is more than stable in competition using medium to large calibres. Looking forward to receiving it in a few weeks.

Mini
Neo
Max
Have them all, if your gun is 17lbs and under I really don't see any difference in shooting off any of them. If it's shooing a long string during a match the heavier the rest the better so the Max wins, but the wide foot print of the Mini puts it right with the Neo IMHO.

I have both and as far as stability I can see no difference. I have been using my MINI off the bench and my NEO when prone because the NEO is too high off the bench with the feet on it (I have them locktighted on). One thing I like about the MINI is that the bag assembly rotates until you lock it down. That allows you to perfectly align the front bag. As far as the joystick control goes they both work the same. The MINI is about $500 cheaper. I suspect a year from now you will see lots of MINI's on the line at big F-Class matches.

Did you end up going with the mini or Neo?

I realize this is a tough question? I am wondering how much real estate the Mini takes up? Wondering if someone could provided some type of measurements? I have narrowed my new rest purchase down to 2 front runners and the Mini is one of them. I’d like to be able to use the Mini on a bench as well as prone.

I have a Mini and shooting prone for F Class I don’t care for the Mariners wheel for coarse adjustment. I find the side elevation of the Neo much more convenient.

If youre going prone id vote neo. If you shoot off a bench though id go neo. I have both and you can come on down and try em out pepsi challenge style if you like. Nothing wrong with the mini if you want to save some money though

Setting up the Mini has one nice advantage over the other two, the head can rotate freely then be locked down when your gun is set up in the bags. I found that function to be the decider for me over the Neo & Max......I have had all 3 of the Seb rests & now use a Lenzi. The Century 21 looks interesting and am looking forward to playing with one when I can get the chance....I shoot mostly SR-BR...................Get The Mini.

Rick
