WAS GOING SHOOTING SATURDAY BUUUUUUTTTTTTT!

jonbearman

I live in new york state, how unfortunate !
yesterday I had less than 3 inches on the ground here near Rochester ny but now I am looking at close to 2 feet plus as it is still snowing pretty hard. We are now officially snowed in and cant get out. I have just enough of a certain kind of medicine to last through tomorrow and am hoping it quits so we can sort of dig out. Gerry if you read this I am thinking about you brother as the weather map showed super heavy snow in your area near Syracuse. Hint be ready for this in advance but don't over do it . Good day to all.

I hope you can get out Jon! We had 9 man hours in cleaning out yesterday. Despite the high winds last night the majority stayed open. I am not sure of our total but 10 miles north logged 16 1/2". My Son has a Rugby match, against the team I played for in my younger days, scheduled for Saturday. With the forecast it doesn't look like the pitch will be clear.

Can't see that happening. I doubt if it will melt till Saturday. We got 25 inches but at least it didn't drift like they were saying and we didn't lose power. Matt

I'm in upstate NY, too. We received about 18" in Horseheads. Binghamton area, only an hour away, received over 30" and made the national news!

Our local weather report is predicting a minimum of twelve additional inches, and possibly as much as 24" through tonight.

I'm in the Hudson Valley and we got 24+. Supposedly a few towns west of me are reporting 35+. Hopefully all of you are staying warm and safe.

Nick

I feel your pain. It's 61 down here in Florida. I had to break out my jackets and wool hat. It's going to be tough mowing the lawn today. :)
Supposed to be down to 36º here in Bradenton. I'll skip the range in the morning - way too cold for me (and I'm from northern Maine!).

Roads closed to all but emergency vehicles here yesterday and last night. 27 inches plus blowing. Still snowing today. Third time we have done the 100 yard long driveway, just to keep ahead of it a bit. No need to go anywhere. Had hoped to take a trailer to Pittsburgh Friday. Will be glad to just get out the drive without it.

Biathlon style is in your immediate future ?

If I could ski and brave the wind maybe biathlon would be fun right. I already own a marlin biathlon I bought years ago and it shoots!

70 and sunny here in CA. I post this because mostly the only reason we refer to CA here is the bad government. --Jerry

Jonbearman If I lived next door to you I would get you out, I was up at 3:30 this morning and cleaned out four of the neighbors driveways, Some places had 4 ft drifts! I live in Oswego NY,;) 11 years ago my retirement present was a 3720 John Deer 44 hp with a 59" blower on the front. :)

You are so full of hot air ............. why would you need a snow blower :p:p:D:D

Because there is no such thing as too many tools or pieces of machinery. this thread has me thinking about buying one. -Jerry

I live 15 miles east of Binghamton and I got 31". I ran the snow blower twice yesterday and once this morning on my 125ft driveway. Then I went up to the neighbor's and used it on the 4' high mound that went about 12' going up into their driveway.
