Talked to them a couple weeks ago, I was told a junior ballistician found IMR4831 worked quite well with their 108.jay,
I have only used H4350 in my 6 Creed. That said, I know for a fact that my friends at Hornady have been doing load work on the 6 Creedmoor now that it is in factory ammo production. Give them a call and see if they will "give it up".
Oh well. I had some scribbles but can't find them now. I am sometimes incorrect but don't think Varget can satisfy "the need for speed". Alliant's new RL16 is, per my findings, awesome. Not temp sensitive, provides low SD numbers and Can provide velocities as high as H4350. Yet to try in 6 Creed but I will soon.Talked to them a couple weeks ago, I was told a junior ballistician found IMR4831 worked quite well with their 108.
I have been working with a custom 135gr pill over RL-16 in the 6.5 Creed in the new Lapua cases and it appears that will supplant H4350 in my gun. I get near 80fps better velocity for the same charge weight of H4350 and great stability/precision. I am still waiting on my 6mm Creed reamer from JGS.
