imr 4451with 6.5x47L

Anyone try this imr4451 powder with the 6.5x47 lapua
Or have a load they will share I have some 4451 and rl17 can't find any h4350

Have not used IMR4451 in 6.5x47 but have used it in 260 and in 7MM08. If you had a load with H4350 that was good for you (and within reason) same should work with IMR4451. Drop about 5% and work back up.
EDIT: Hodgdon has load data for 6.5-47 on their website now and I believe IMR4451 is included there.

Yup the Hodgdon Reloading Site has data for the x47 and 123, 130 and 140 weight bullets and 4451.

Not the cheapest option but one that will not disappoint is N-150 or if you want some speed N-550.

My go to powder for that cartridge.

I tried it, it worked well. 41 - 41.5 grains with Berger 130 VLD's was a nice node. I think I went up to 42.5 grains before running out of case capacity, no pressure signs. I prefer Varget/RL-15 over the 4350 class powders for this cartridge though.

I use it with good success. I give up about 30-40 fps to H4350 and I get pressure signs about at one grain less. This is with 140 grain bullets and a 26" barrel.
