541 Question

I shot sporter rifle with a 541-T with out the HB for 15 years. Still have it, replaced it with an Anschutz 1416 HB with 2 stage trigger. Now my girlfriend shoots it.

Its a fine rifle, Look for a lighter scope. Plastic mags are still good. No problems. Mine would group 5/8" @ 50 with RWS Target (the cheap stuff). We shoot CCI SV in sporter rifle.

With the small factory clip.. the rifle weighs in on my scale at 6 lbs 11.2 ounces, even the Leupold 6x42 Competition Hunter would send it over weight

Bummer. Lighten the stock?

In my league, Irons class has no rifle weight limit.

On another note, i am in process of ordering a couple of scopes for it.. i think that i will use QRW rings and mounts.. That is if i can go that way with it

I also own a 541T-HB. As already mentioned, some shoot well and some don't. Mine is in the "don't" category. Some day it'll get a new barrel.

My mags fit the 541-S, 541-T, and the 581. They are 5 round mags that fit up flush with the bottom metal instead of hanging down like the factory mags. They make carring and shooting these guns much more comfortable.
