CCI Stingers

Why are CCI stingers not available?
Anyone have any leads on where to find some rather than gunbroker where they want $20 for a box of 50.

If you can find CCI’s “Velocitor” instead then consider it a blessing. Velocitor’s case is ‘normal’ length for 22LR rounds, unlike the Stinger’s overly long case that can make it overly crowded in a lot of tighter (skinnier & shorter to the lands) accuracy oriented 22LR chambers, and if so, interfering with the bullet’s release causing pressure to spike.

A million yrs ago when i squirrel hunted I tried them. Didn't like the way they tore them up, and I didn't like how much different my POI was from standard CCI mini-mag 22LRs

I think I shot 100 of them and never used them again.

They can be hard to find and at reasonable prices. And not every rimfire likes all ammo. But, my Rem. 572 loves the CCI Stingers! I bought a brick of 500 for $68.99 last Sept. from Midway. You can set up e-mail notifiers with them for products you're waiting to become available. However, you'll have to react quickly before they're gone again.

If you're looking for something fast, the Aguila Interceptor round has proved to be very accurate in several of my rifles and hits like a hammer...
