Anybody use H-380 much these days?

Will a 22-250 shoot anything other than H380?
That is still my go to powder. I have some classic loads that are still my #1 go-to for accuracy. Have tried some others, but not that beat the old #1.....

If you do a search on this site, you'll see a lot of imr 4064 used for 22-250.
Doesn't meter very well but seems to do good & a go to powder for a lot of
shooters in that cal. Rl-15 & Varget also used a lot.

My 22-250 used to thrive on IMR4320 behind a 52 grain Sierra HPBT until I shot it out and re-barreled with a Shilen barrel and then not so much. It prefers H-380 now. It just works great!
Same here for the Shilen. All I have ever shot out of it is H380. If it ain't broke don't fix it. The only thing you need to watch for is loading it too hot in the summer. It is not as temp sensitive as I would like. Otherwise ,it is a great powder for many different cartridges.

Thanks Fellas

You really should consider CFE 223. Hodgdon lists it tops for velocity behind 40, 50, 52, and 55-gr bullets, and only Superformance beats it behind 60 to 70-gr.! It's establishing a reputation for excellent accuracy and, in standard 22-250 with its preferred lighter bullets, the copper suppression property comes very handy.

Ok ill try it Thanks

22-250 load
37.5gr H380 - mag. CCI primers - Sierra 55gr. Spitzer

.220 Swift load
41.5gr. H380 - std CCI primers - Hornady 53gr. V-Max

I like it in light 22-250 varmint slugs. Last year used with great success in 243W with 65gr varmint bullets. Light bullets out of 6mm Rem are getting the H380 treatment now also with excellent results. Guess I am hooked on it as it gets the job done.

Works wonderfully in Mosin/nagant 762X54R Hornady 0.312" bullets and a middle 50s gr load- shoots suprisingly well in one with a shiny barrel.
