.308 mag, long action bottom metal

Hi all, anybody familiar with a Tikka T3 .308 mag? There is a spacer to the rear of the mag which allows the .308 (or similar SA rounds) to feed in the Tikka one size fits all long action.

My question is, does anybody build a bottom metal/magazine setup like this for the Remington 700 footprint? I want to run a 6.5 Creedmoor on a long action Shilen DGR. I just don't think it would feed smoothly from the big 30-06 mag.

Any thoughts?

Your going to have plenty of room in a SA mag for the Creedmoor. Its going to be simple, no messing with feed lips or wondering about feeding. If its just because you have a long action, sell or trade it. Just my opinion

Call Badger Ordnance. They make a bottom metal for a long action that takes short action mags. I'm thinking of doing just this to a Bighorn LA.
