Who makes the best Ruger 10/22 Bull barrel for the $$

I have a tactical solutions and it shoots great but it is so light I really have to bear down when shooting off of a bench. The weight is great for squirrel hunting but not the best for shooting groups.

Same here with a fluted GM that shoots great with a variety of loads. Have done business with Clark since 1983 and would take a hard look at them as well. Mike

I have a Adams and Bennett barrel that shoots ragged holes at 50 yards with Wolf Match ammo. I would try a Green Mountain barrel.

Don Dunlap

McGowen made mine to the specs I gave them. 4 month wait but it was worth it. Excellent shooter from shot#1. Plus the barrel shank was a really nice snug fit into the clone receiver.

I went with the SS Adams and Bennet bull. I shot it this weekend and was quite impressed. It shoots well with even the cheap ammo.

No problem getting under 1" at 100.

With 10 shots 6-7 would be in one hole with the other 3-4 just outside.

This gun is in a Boyd's stock and has a stock trigger.

Just wanted to give some feedback

Fedderson all the way. Owned a KIDD ULW and it was nice but I like the xtra added weight of Fred Feddersons 10/22 16.5" barrels. Cant go wrong with either one though.

I have 2 Whistlepig barrels that shoot very, very well. At the time I bought them years ago, they were a good deal. I like the aluminum bull barrels on a 22. --Jerry

Rimfire barrels are very ammo sensitive. Way more so than centerfire barrels. Just because your's doesn't like brand X it may love band Y. I had one that didn't shoot Lapua very well but liked CCI standard velocity. Go figure. Oh and lets not forget, if you find a brand that it likes, buy as many on that lot number as you can. When you change lot numbers it may change everything.

Used to be a fellow in Front Royal , Va. that sold Green Mountain seconds , cosmetic blemishes , 80.00 I think they were , had a couple that shot excellent a couple ok .
Had a Volqurtsen that fit really tight and flat out shot good , unfortunately my son fired a rapid string and hit a squib in the barrel .
Had a used Adams&Bennett that shot great .
Have a Fedderson , fit is sloppy and accuracy acceptable for squerril . Will replace it one day , but 10/22 isn't my go to 22 .
One Green Mountain second my brother in law bought was an outstanding shooter , but as said , it's a roll of the dice .

Who makes the "Micro Groove" bull barrels that Stocky's sells? (I thought that was Marlin's trade name.) Are they any good?

Keystone Sporting Arms, Milton, PA - makers of the Chipmunk youth rimfires. To the best of my knowledge, the Marlin trademark and patent are for 'Microgroove', not 'Micro Groove'. Doesn't seem like much of a distinction, but that's the sort of thing that has made many lawyers wealthy over the years....

Other than that, I know nothing about the barrels. I have not had the opportunity to test or examine one of these barrels.
