Muzzle brake?

Ledd slinger, don't know where your post went but your not the first to say she is ugly. Don't have to be pretty to get the job done.
It's loud and obnoxious for all surrounding me but if I don't blink I have no problem seeing hits at any distance with it.

Before I had it installed sitting on that same bipod on a wooden bench it would move almost a full 8 ft width of plywood at 200 yrds. Now it dosent move at all.

When I went looking for a break I found this video showin it's effectiveness.

Watch how effective a JP compensator really is (HD) - YouTube

I deleted it right after I posted it cuz I figured it was kind of rude and didn't need to be said. I apologize. Guess I'll repost what I said since you saw it and called me out...

"It is probably the ugliest muzzle brake I've seen, but it looks like it would be very easy to clean"

Also add that you are right in the fact that functionality trumps looks. If it works good and it's easy to clean, then it's probably a better brake than most. Some brakes are very difficult to clean unless you have an ultrasonic cleaner or parts cleaner. Looks like you wouldn't even have to take that one off to clean it. Might even be able to get to your crown with it still on

I don't know about that.

Excellent testing to get real results on effectiveness using an equal and unbiased mechanical platform. Definitely proves the BEAST is more effective than the Little Bastard on all sizes of cartrdiges. I was unaware that smaller calibers do not benefit from an extra port like the larger calibers do. I also like how he proved the wide ported brakes were much more effective than a round drilled port brake. Great info.

I would love to see how Harrel's 4 port Tactical brakes stack up to the BEAST and Little Bastard using his 300 WBY because I just ordered a 4 port Harrels for my 338-375 Ruger which is also a very heavy recoiling round

*1 for the JP eliminator..... Have one on my 22-250 and it doesn't move at all. great for seeing the sage rats blow up at close range and long for that matter.

Here is one on a 338 Lapua along with my brake and a few others.

Great. Thank you. The Harrels is right in there with the 4 port BEAST. About 1" more. The 5 port Terminator definitely won the contest.

The end summary statements were a little off. I watched the video many times and the Terminator was about 16 1/2-3/4", The 4 port BEAST about 17 3/4", and the Harrels about 18 3/4". All 3 brakes very impressive for such a heavy recoiling round. The other 5 port brake didn't make it in the contest.

Though the Harrels lost by a little, I think I'll still be very happy considering the $45 shipped price tag. Thank you so much for that video. I'll look into the BEAST brakes in the future. They are obviously very effective.

You might want to look a Witt machine.. Bolt on brake. that's right bolt on. Not perfect but will tame a beast. When you don,t need it take it off. Just my two cents.. Tommy Mc.
+1
I am very happy w my Witt brake, and it's a real bonus to take it on and off without threads needed.

+1 for a Witt Machine bolt-on. It makes my 6.5-284 easier to spot shots than my 6br.
