BAT MB barrel shoulder question

I have a BAT MB 1.55 round RBLP coming for an upcoming build and was just wondering how the gunsmiths know that they have a tight, square full face contact between the barrel shoulder and the action with it being hidden by the integral action sleeve. BAT's drawing shows to chamfer the barrel shoulder edge I guess to help this. Maybe a rookie question and maybe not even a concern with good machining, but thought I'd ask.

Just ask the smith if he is familiar with the MB action , if not provide the print with an explanation of it...

The light chamfer is all thats needed, about a .005" plunge with 45 degree tool. Your print is the newer one. I have both an older print that this was not shown. Not all blanks are exactly 1.250" diameter, so he should check this as well and adjust.

Thanks

Inletting black on the shoulder, screw the action on until tight, back it off and then back snug ( a couple times ) then screw the action off and with a light look down in the action and check to see that the "black" has made a ring all the way around the face of the action. Just my thoughts.

Its a non-issue, the sleeve is quite a bit larger than the barrel. Debur the barrel shoulder is all that is needed and most all machinists/gunsmiths are going to do that.
