Most accurate 17rem loads

My first recommendation is sort your brass by weight ... Especially Remington brass. It made a huge difference for me on my group size. Use a Rem 7 1/2 primer.

My old pet load for my 17 BDL was with IMR 4320 with 25 Berger Match HP. You can use the Horn 25 HP

My Rem LVSF likes the 25 VMAX with H4895

I have had as much as 3-6 grains variance in Rem brass. Also I debur all my flash holes with a K&M 17 cal flash hole debuting tool. Also I use Wipe-out foaming bore cleaner ... It's a god send for 17 cal barrel cleaning. Good luck

Mine likes the 25gr VMax with Varget and Rem 7.5. I've also had good luck with 25gr Hornady hollow point and prefer it for coyotes. The V Max is awesome on Rock Chucks!

Rifle is CZ 527. Nosler brass, 25 grain Berger HP, Rem 7 1/2, Varget. The Hornady HPs shoot pretty good also but I need to do more load tweaking to see if they will shoot like the Bergers.

SAME LOAD FOR MY CZ 527 VARMINT

Many, many Beers Ago I had a Remington 700 and of all the powders available at that time 4320 was the "Go to" powder . My best results were with the Remington 25HP,7 1/2 and AA2520

I believe the load I used to shoot was 25.0 gr IMR 4895 (possibly 24.5) with 25 gr Hornady HP and Rem 7 1/2. Shot very accurate and had the speed also. Never chronographed but appeared to be at least 4,000 fps. Accounted for many many First shot kills 300-416 yards on groundhogs.

26.0 gr h380 with a with a 25gr berger
Or the hornady. But the berger load shoot really good in multiple rifles.

H322 and 25gr berger also works very well

24.0g of IMR 4320 with a 25g is a load that has worked in Sako's and remingtons, with a velocity of 4100+, watch out for copper fouling with this load.

Back in the day, I had two of the very first Sako Vixens that came into the country. Sweets did not exist in this country back then, and we made a solution to get rid of copper. Those Sako's were good for around 20 shots before accuracy went to pot, then a serious de coppering was needed.

So, we found the load that I listed above and could get some decent shot strings when we coated the bullets with wax.
