Whats a good semi auto...?

Whats a good semi auto 9mm, 357 sig, or 40 cal rifle to get? I know just right carbine makes one that takes glock mags, i know an AR upper can be put together somehow... i know theres an upper out there that mounts to a glock receiver...

Any other options/opinions? Just a fun gun.. hopefully decently accurate..

9mm will be the most cost effective to shoot of the 3.....If you have a Glock 19 get the one that takes 19 mags ect.

If I were looking for something along those lines I would get a M1 carbine in 30 cal. But that's just me.

Legacy Sports...Howa, sells a M1 carbine copy that shoots 9mm. I think it uses Beretta m 92 mags

They are now being sold by Chiappa. No longer with Legacy.

Old school would be a Iver Johnson / pla field carbine in 9mm , mine is gas operated and takes S&W mags . Only a few around but they usually go cheap $250-$350 . Love mine , all steel

Ruger made a fine 9 and 40 rifle about 15 years ago. The new SIG mpx is technically a pistol with a stabalizing aft. The ruger rifle took various glock or sw mags and was very reliable

American Spirit Arms has them in AR platform. Have no experience with the pistol calibers. Have in 223 with side charger. Well made in my little experience with them.YMMV

Frontier Armory in Vegas makes one that has the mag well scaled down to take Glock magazines. I built one, and it is just, as they say "the cat's posterior".

Ours is a Marlin Camp Nine carbine, which uses any magazine for a 59 series S&W pistol - I have an handful of 20 round aftermarket mags for it, in addition to a couple of OEM mags. The Camp Carbine was also available in 45 ACP - that version uses 1911 compatible single stack mags, I think. The Camp 9/45 hasn't been made in a number of years, but they show up on the used gun market. We've had ours for about 20 years and it has served us well.

I like the Beretta Cx4 personally. It's kind of stupid looking in my opinion, but really comfortable and fun to shoot! I had a 40 for a while, then traded it for a 9 since I just use it for fooling around anyway.

There is also the semi-auto version of the Uzi in carbine format. There are a wide range of arms and prices here so take your pick.
