Using a 6br S die for 30br?

Hi All. Can I use a 6br S die for sizing 30br? I don't know if the hole at the top of the shoulder is big enough for one thing. Thanks

Hoz: If you do a search, you'll find a thread on it from the summer or early fall. Some one asked the same question. My crazy old brain remembers no. It would have to be reamed out. But ya know........I have a die.....and a minute...ok...my die is a Whidden 6br bushing die and a 30 br case won't go thru the "neck hole" below the bushing.

Thanks Josh I will do a search. Wat are the Lima beans about anyway?

Lima beans are on Snert's "hate list" along with librarians and .223s. I was taking a friendly poke at him.

You can go up or down 2 sizes with neck bushing dies. So yes it will work. I have been known to push them farther than that and still had them work well.

I heard the same thing, then I crushed a 6br using a 22br type s. A simple carbide boring bar can fix the 6-30 problem, if there is one.
