40 gns. = 2395 fps
41 gns. = 2451 fps

40 - 41 is on the bottom end of the load for a 308. Also a 22" tube hurts a bit too.

Ah heck your right... i just got home and verified.. my load is 45.2gr of varget.. I couldnt remember..

I'd guess upper 2600s. With 46.0 you'd be touching 2700

I shoot 150s and 168s for the most part in a 308. I find barrel length makes a huge difference. Example:
150 grain Barnes Tipped Tripple Shocks ahead of 45.5 Grains H4895 Wolf LRP
20" 1/12, 5R barrel 2785fps
26" 1:10, 5r, barrel 3010fps

I shoot 168s and 175s with 41.00 grains of IMR 4064. This is the most accurate load Picatinney Arsenal uses for their generic test loads.

I couldnt run 46 grains. Pressure... 45.2 bugholes at 200 yards. But it likes a very firm hold... then when i switch barrels to something else i can shoot them with less hold..
