I need a good fire forming load for W748 and 87gr flat base bullets. I already did one light fire forming shot with 58gr bullets and am wondering what I should do to finish them off with the heavier bullet so they are fully formed. Thanks.
This^^ 30.5 Varget and a 107SMK and I have haven't lost a single case yet out of 300 cases between 2 BRX's. Go shoot a 600 yard match and have fun to boot.Forgive me, but what is the purpose of taking 2 rounds to fireform a piece of brass. The BRX is only good for 2,500 to 3,000 rounds, why waste so much barrel life? I don't know about W748, but 30.0 - 30.5 gr. of Varget with a 105- 107 gr. bullet will fully form the case and is accurate enough to shoot in a 600 yard match. Kill two stones with one bird.
+1 on that. No cracked cases in over 300 formed and accurate at 600 yards. Just have to remember to turn the knobs more as the load is slower than normal BRX lasers. This^^ 30.5 Varget and a 107SMK and I have haven't lost a single case yet out of 300 cases between 2 BRX's.
