Witch pills for 6.5x47L

Witch pills for 6.5x47 600 yard benchrest mainly is what it would be used for .1.25 tube x 30" .The reamer is a PTG with 194.5 and a 167 freebore . Shot a few 142 SMK to start the break in period they seamed to shoot pretty good the best 5 shot group was around 1.5" @ 450 yards just thinking 130s might be better with a little more velocity. Tell me what you think

I'm thinking there are way more good 6.5 bullets than not.
I've owned and shot a lot of the 6.5 cartridges over the years and I like heavier ones for hunting and longer range shooting. Shoot the 130VLD fast and it is usually a good bet for sure small groups.
I'm getting components together for a 6.5x47 barrel to screw on my BAT and am excited about the prospects for 130's and RL16 out to 1000 yards.

Something heavy with a high BC for long distance. I don't know what Berger has to offer in a 140 or so but it would sure be on my list to try.

Before Berger revised their BC's, it was no contest in favor of the 140gr VLD. They raised the BC of the 130gr and slightly lowered the BC of the 140gr, so now it's virtually a tossup at 1000yds. Only difference is a slightly flatter trajectory with the 130gr and slightly more energy with the 140gr and they cost the same. Your FB is right in the middle for either, so it really depends on your intended purpose. I'm assuming with a BAT action that you're a target shooter, so probably the 130gr with less recoil.

A couple of years ago I started with 123gr Scenars and they spot so well I haven't been motivated to look elsewhere.

Do witch pills turn you into a newt? As far as bullets in a 6.5 x 47L. I haven't tried the 130 VLD's yet, but know several shooters that prefer them. I've tried 140 Amax, 130 AR Hybrid, 136 Scenar and 123 Scenar. So far I've had best accuracy with either of the Scenars.

I hav shot the 123 scenar out to 1550yds. It truly is an outstanding bullet.

my 6.5 shoots all bergers the same. I got a great deal on some 140 hybreds so now this is all I shoot. work great out to 1400yds.

home range 1400yds @800ft 1284fps. won shoot@ 4000ft 1400yds 1532fps. bullet for all shoots 140 berger hybred.
