Bench-Source Vertex

Anyone experience any problems with their Bench-Source Vertex annealing machine? Ran into a problem this afternoon when I got home where the thing no longer functions as expected.

Upon turning it on, the unit did rotate once, maybe even twice before the green power 24vdc light went off and it would no longer rotate. The fan still spins when you switch the power on, but nothing else functions. I did test the power supply and it seems ok, and the fuse filament also looks to be ok (tried finding another one, but apparently that little fuse is not something you can pick up at the local auto parts store...)

Just thought I'd ask and see if anyone else experienced something similar and had any suggestions to get me up and going in real-time as I was trying to anneal some brass to finish up part 2 of a match tomorrow. If not I guess I will deal with warranty/RMA process Monday.

Call and talk to David. He's a great guy. Here on the forms he goes by DasherDawg, I think...

I'll give them a call Monday, I shot them an email earlier but it being the weekend and after hours I had no expectations of a response. Just thought I would reach out to the community in case anyone else had a similar experience (ie 'oh yeah just do this...')

Hi PTD,

Got your email and sorry you had a problem. They're pretty rare.

Please give us a call at your earliest convenience. 662-895-0803. We're here until 5:30 CST today. If we can't get you going over the phone, we'll send you a shipping label and return your unit the day after we receive it. No worries!

Sincerely,
DD
