Nobody is denigrating their acievement winning the F-Class Mid Range National Championship. But, it is the MR. LR is generally considered the more difficult and prestigious of the two. Both gentlemen are fine shooters who I expect to place well in the LR and perhaps win. That is not a given, however, and is the reason we shoot matches and not just award trophies for attendance.

Both have been High Masters for some time, Larry. Mid Range HM is less difficult to achieve than LR HM. In California, we are not awarded medals at the State Championship, we get bears.
