F-Class Nationals Lodi, Wi

What does have to do with user control of SMT?

Nothing whatsoever.

What you see in your display's browser, presented to it after you bring up the SMT server you're working with (whether personal, single-target system or server-driven array as at WGC), depends on JAVA implementation 'behind the curtain' of your browser.

Users have nothing to do other than use the functions presented by the SMT'S webpage display to fullfill their obligations as competitors.

Oh, and shoot good scores....

HAs anybody discovered whether a Windows RT device will work with the system at Lodi? It's just oddball enough that I wonder....

If it works off WIFI, has a browser capability that allows you to enter a URL for a destination that you want to view, it ought to.

Make sure if you plan on using one that its battery can last at least eight hours on a single charge.

Or have a Plan B.

It will be far easier to just use the Lenova tablet they offer. It's tested and known to work, the screen is readable in the sun, battery lasts all day, and if there is a problem the guys have enough experience to take care of it. Also, these things take a beating out on the range with moisture, heat, risk of rain, and getting hit by shell casings.

What Mudeat's suggesting is good. Other devices will work but present unknowns that might impact your takeaway experience.

If you have a device you've used before with an SMT system, even then the server-based, multi-target system at WGC has some subtlties that can affect how you interact with it over a single-user system. One example is how you can 'save' target display strings, or 'print' screen-captures.

I'm glad we have these every year or I'd never wash the windows in the shooting wagon! Lol I think I'm ready for this... How's our weather looking?

It's nice right now !! Having a beverage at KD's !!! It took me 1 day instead of the planned 2. What to do on Thursday ??

2. What to do on Thursday ??

Keep your feet dry?

I'm 100 miles west of WGC, we've had 4" of rain in 24 hrs & it's gonna rain all day today from what the radar looks like. Glad I had gutters & larger downspouts installed Tuesday.

Forecast for weekend & next week isn't entirely negative but be prepared for intermittent showers, maybe a rain delay... pretty much what we deal with when we're NOT at the range, right?

I know it is not in the plans, but having an area for tents would be much appreciated, even if our cars were kept a little further back.

I'm gonna eventually get to shoot these right...?

To shoot out of or to sleep in after the day's activities are concluded?

Tent camping's available*, tents/pop-ups behind the ready line aren't usually permitted because of limited space available.

* Tents for camping can be placed in the field north of the stat office. You'll see campers there too, the west side has power hook-ups for those.

Years ago that area used to be an auto junk yard so look very carefully before pitching your tent as there's still broken glass & metal / plastic around that'll cut a tent floor.

We were stress testing targets calibrations etc, for last couple of days and getting the range ready today. Rained in am and was warm and humid this afternoon. Possibility of rain Fri am. There is not enough room behind the firing points for tents. We have already expanded the parking lots at 600 and 1000. Hopefully you will all have a great and successful time. Don't know about W-RT but my Surface 3 w/W10 works. My Kindle has been hit or miss with no way to make it 100% reliable. We have a tablet for each competitor and scorer. The Android devices that some members use all seem to work well if set up properly. Our tablets are all set up for the system and there will be a training session for you attend FRI am so you know what to do. RO's have been trained to deal with questions and problems, plus the SMT folks will there.
