Want to see a bullet tested?

Have a bullet you are interested in seeing tested? Let us know! Be sure to check the list of what is already in the library here: http://appliedballisticsllc.com/Articles/BP_changes.pdf

Also we have already done:
1. Hornady ELD Line
2. Sierra TMK Line...
3. G9 Bullets
4. Nosler Accubond
5. Warner Flatline

Let us know what you would be interested in seeing added and we will take a look in to it! The best way, would be to add to the Facebook Comment. But you can also leave your comment here. https://www.facebook.com/AppliedBallisticsLLC/posts/1173449312716950

Hey thanks for the linked PDF!

I submitted a few of those listed way back when Brian L. first published his original tome, then suggested updates would be forthcoming once he'd gathered examples untested.

Good to see rimfire additions! So much depends on those little buggers that can't be addressed by careful reloading yet I can understand the appeal of small bore for not having to mess with making up loads for the next match.

More than just BC was tested on those, it was an entire slew of information. From Barrel Length, and Twist Rates. To the effects of each on MV and BC. That was a really intensive study, that spans 2 books.

Where is the ELD data, is it the complete line, and how low do you go in Mach numbers for each bullet?

From what I can tell now, only owners of the App can see which bullets are available, and you have to buy the custom drag curve to see how low in Mach number it goes.

Sounds like Obama care, you have to buy it first to see what is really in it. Am I missing something?

We are able to test bullets in to the sub-sonic. We don't give out a breakdown of how many CDM points exist, but I can tell you its a lot. You don't have to buy anything to see what is in the library, I included a link to the list that shows you what is in the publication. Then I named some of the bullets already completed, well to be technically correct bullet lines. If its in the Ballistic Performance of Rifle Bullets then you are looking at the current offerings in the AB Public Library. The TMK Data is already in the library, and the book Ballistic Performance of Rifle Bullets (Page 483, 484, 485... and more).

Having to purchase it or not depends on the system you are on. AB Mobile, yes its 2$ per bullet. AB Analyitcs, Kestrel Elite, Kestrel 4500, etc. Basically anything with the full CDM Library already in it, already has the TMK stuff.

The Hornady ELD line has been tested (and is shared at the seminars). We tested both lines, as they become available to the public. So far we have most of them complete. Some bullets which were announced but not released yet we have not been able to test, but we will get them done as soon as they are released.

I do not have a release date for the library however, so I can't say when the general public will have access to it.

Edit: I guess it is important to note. You won't see this data online like you did in the past. You will only see what is tested, and where you can find it.

I would like to see some bullets that are not traditionally shot at long range tested. Flat base, light weight, point blank benchrest type bullets. Just for grins, and to see how they stack up. Might be interesting to those shooting tiny groups at short-mid range (100-300 yards). Stuff like the berger column, and various 6mm and .30 cal customs.

Lots of these bullets don't really have accurately measured BC's available.

I'd like to see some of the lighter weight .277 (6.8spc) bullets tested, stuff under 110gr. Glad you added the Hornady 110BTHP as that's my mid range match bullet for my 6.8.

I'm looking for data on the Sierra .284 160TMK. They shoot extremely well out of a Tikka T3 rifle I am working on. My best guess based on my shooting results out to 900 yards is a G7 BC of .307. Am I in the ball park on this?

How about the Lehigh Defense lead free bullets....

.17
.20
.22
.243

I`d like to see info on these, unless I missed them somewhere......

Phil.

I'd really like to see info on the Sierra .243 100 grain BTSP Gameking since it seems to work in a 10-twist .243 Win. at 1000 yards. Also, how about the USGI M118 Match Lake City 173 grain FMJ. (The CMP sold a lot of these a few years back and there are some still around.)

We do have some of the new Sierra stuff on the list.

I'd like to see the .224 cal Sierra 55gr BlitzKing tested alongside of the Hornady 53 V-Max, on the same day.
My own tests show the SBK has a slight edge over the 53 V-Max (a higher BC)
