Something different

Retired lectrician here.. Worked on about everything, wired houses, built a powerhouse. Maintenence in a coal mine working on DC rotating equipment and controls, Instrument tech, and most important FATHER!

I retired and promoted my self to head gopher and coyote exterminator in SW Wyoming where I have lived forever..

My first office was a 1989 Chevy Caprice. My last office was a 2010 Dodge Charger hemi. In between I had to suffer with an LT1 Caprice with brakes designed to stop a go cart and a Ford Pursuit that had a hard time not getting run over by Honda's. I spent my days adjusting attitudes, fixing in ten minutes problems that took 18 years to make, being blamed for all the ills of society, holding my nose in houses that I would not let a dog inhabit, getting hit, threatened, spit on and decontaminated. I had to listen to people who never left an armchair send me to crisis after crisis without a lick of information that was credible, while being expected by my supervisors to be omniscient. In the end I broke my back chasing a kid who had a shotgun after threatening to kill himself or his friends. when I finally walked away after twenty years I decided that Walmart greeter might be about all the stress I could take. So for now I shoot groundhogs, take care to educate four teens, and avoid other people's problems like the plague.

I like it.

;)

WOW, Now that's cool.
Yeah, that's hard to top. After a 25 year career as a HVAC technician and 8 of those being a Director of Plant Operations over a fairly large retirement community ( Commercial and residential wiring, plumbing, remodeling and HVAC among other PIA management duties) I decided the stress from the idiots I worked for wasn't worth it. I needed a different kind of stress and a bit of fun - so this is been my office for the last year.

Federally Licensed seller of Iron.

Back in the late 80's when I lived in Green River I also got rid of a few 'yotes and gophers for you!!

I'm a delivery boy, and here's a couple of my offices.

I'm the guy who delivers the materials it takes to build your house, business, barn, or these days, marijuana farm. I use my knuckle boom to lift your shingles up to the roof, and then climb up and stack them. Gotta deliver orders for a bunch of bozo salesmen who couldn't work at a pizza parlor because they fail to get addresses and phone numbers. But I much prefer my office to theirs. jd

That sounds a little like the refrain from "I want my MTV"...

Good to see your office JD

Nothing fancy here, Commercial General Contractor, own the company. Current projects, 3 projects on Cannon Air Force Base working on the hangers that house the Ospreys, bridge renovation project in Arkansas, 3 commercial buildings in the Phoenix area and one project in Hawaii. We get a lot done each year with a few really talented project managers and the two best front office gals I've ever worked with. Hoping to sell out by 2020 and take it down a notch or two.
