Hey all, this is Dave Cole, the match director for the FClass at ENGC. We have 1 spot left to fill out the roster for the state championship on the 4th saturday of August.

Just 1 spot

If a prize table lures you to these events, then ours is plenty tempting.
If great competitors brings you out, look at the scores from yesterday's match. Plenty competitive.
If it's a sadomasicistic love of sweating in the pits with hardly any respite from the elements. Yup, got that too.

Regarding yesterday's match, nobody melted, (I had a minor meltdown on 2nd relay .... ), Dave and crew ran a smooth line, had water for everyone, it was a very fun morning, even with the heat.. I had a great time by putting faces on names from here and even made a few more new friends..

Congrats to Shane and Damon for bringing it home!

Bottom Line: ENGC is a great mid range venue, highly suggest you put it on your list of ranges to shoot...

For the State match, gstaylorg is going eat chili with extra beans the entire day before and I will fill up on fiber bars as part of our match prep.. Be ready....

I strongly suspect it will be 4, 2, and 2; same as last year.

I asked that question at last match, I was advised that the State Match will follow the monthly match format, which has been 4/2/2. If I am mistaken, I would hope someone would add a correction...

Hey all, Dave here.

Yes. We will be going 4-2-2 for sighters.

If you want to foul your barrels, there is a 300 meter range right next to the 600.
Per club rules though, NO shots taken before 7am.

The format for the match will be very much like any other league match we have... with the exceptions being, a 4 man relay to accommodate the full firing line; the almost 10 grand worth of prizes on the table; the unique and rather large trophies for overall and state winners; food and beverage after the match.

I will still stress the importance of hydration (it is still summer after all) and I'm sure the same names will still get butchered when announcing line positions and awards.

Rifles will be weighed first thing in the morning. Lane assignments shortly thereafter. We still plan on going hot at 9am, with a last shot fired hopefully by 3:30-ish.

We plan on going straight on through with shooting. If you aren't used to going that long without food, I suggest bringing a snack or eating a hearty or heartier breakfast.

If you have any questions, please ask away and I'll do my best to answer them.

We're at the Holiday Inn Express in Bellevue. Comfort Suites is tolerable, Roadway is sketchy but cheap.

Mike if I was shooting against you I would but against these boys I need to be at my best so substandard sleeping quarters just won't do.

If u don't get lost in the corn trying to find the range, you'll do just fine. Hotels? Cant help ya there, I'm 50 miles south and new to area.. It's gonna be a great shoot.

Don't let the welder guy put any goofy ideas in ur head about my abilities, there will be guys far better than me there. A ringer from the Elk River MN club and a more than capable FTR friend from the Fargo area are coming.. then the local guys are some serious talent. Remdog will have his hands full with Shane.. hee hee that will be a great matchup....

If Drew was plotting match strategy, I would think he would have his daughter make her famous Crack Krispy bars to feed the line before the match to mess with gstaylorg's blood sugar..

I don't think your sneaking up on these guys now. Lol Make him earn it guys!! He's going up there to win it...he's a good boy and a better shooter than me but I know he can be beat as we all can. These state matches are what's great about the NRA program. It's official and records are kept. You are part of what it was designed for and it's alive thanks to you. Carry on!
