Sierra Tipped MatchKings - BC test results

Seems sierra over estimated there BC specs.

Their BC specs are accurate. The table in the original post shows differences from +3% to -3% between Sierra's numbers and the AB numbers. It's certainly not a systematic overestimate, and it is well within the expected variations one you account for different rifles, bullet lot numbers, and measurement techniques.

The advertised rating from the first post is not what they are advertising on their site. Unless I'm missreading somewhere.

I see what I was missing, .535+.521+.480/3= .512. Duh!! The way they present it got me thinking it they implied it was better than what Brain found.

Oops, I meant the G7 BC, Sierra has posted the G1.

The 77 TMK G7 BC value is currently available in Bryan Litz's book, "Ballistic Performance of Rifle Bullets". It's a very useful addition to Bryan's earlier book, "Applied Ballistics for Long Range Shooting" and contains data on newer bullets that weren't available at the time the previous volume was published (at least, that weren't in the version I have).
