Need a gunsmith to change Remington 700 barrel...

Any one know of a good gunsmith that can change my Remington 700 barrel?

Location not important.

Reasonable price and turnaround time required.

rc,
From your profile, it indicates you are in AZ. If you already have the replacement barrel, there are several Gunsmith around the Phoenix area that I'm sure you can contact and have the work done rather quickly. Might be worth checking out the Ben Avery Range where a lot of info gets posted and circulated on Gunsmiths. I've got two terrific Gunsmiths here in So Cal, but why come so far when you've got them near you.

I have found the R. W. Hart folks in Nescopeck pa to be very good fast and above all honestly knowledgeable.

they are of the Hart bbl family.

There are no gunsmiths in driving distance (for me).
So location makes no difference.

I assume you are putting a new barrel on a Rem 700? You want a smith to chamber, thread and crown the barrel? I am on the east coast, and good smiths hereabouts are getting $150 - $250 for this labor. Here is price list from a very good gunsmith:

Fit and Chamber Barrel including crown and basic polishing of barrel $200.00
Special finish or High polish on barrel
$50.00
& up
Inlet stock
$100.00
& up
Pillar Bedding
$200.00
Glue-ins including pre-bedding
$300.00
Custom Bullet seater Die from same reamer as chamber
$125.00
Custom Sizing Die
$175.00
True Remington Actions
$150.00
& up
Muzzle Brake
$150.00
& up
Basic Machine and Gun repair work
$80.00
Hr.

Prices subject to change."

And the turn around time for good gun work varies. BTW, Nate Lambeth is a frequent contributor on this forum and he might be your best source.

Bullhead City AZ

No smith's can do it around here.
Phoenix is to far to drive.

That's why the OP says 'Location not important.'

BY all means call some of the guys on the SMITH list on this blog. But don't be surprised in a pretty long waiting time as those guys are up to their eyeballs in work. Somewhere between an increase in the number of competition shooters wanting custom rigs and that IDIOT in the White House, (SMITHS) work lists have doubled and tripled over the recent past. PM Sent with alternative info.
