Does Anyone Make Custom .22, 52 grain match bullets?

Looking to upgrade from the Bergers that I am using.
Not questioning your motives, but out of curiousity, why? Is it really possible to shoot smaller groups with a custom bullet?
I read that article about the warehouse tests, and it seems more likely that external factors are the limitation.

For some people, yes. The reason for shooting the best custom bullets is to eliminate one possible source of error. There's also the psychological implication of knowing the bullets you're shooting are as close as possible to perfect. If you put the rest of the cartridge together properly and shoot a flyer you know whose fault it was.

Randy Robinette, Bart Sauter and others make excellent bullets. My personal favorite is the Watson 52 grain flat base that Bart makes. Might have to wait a while but it's worth it IMHO.

+1. In my rifles, the answer is "YES" for the reasons Dave states. General or machine made bullets add just another variable you have to consider, especially when the bullets produced on two or three machines, are mixed together when packaged. And that includes Bergers that I have to sort as well as others. The variance in custom bullets aren't nearly as broad.

I make mine by hand and don't have to sort the finished product. I can stress relieve the core seated jacket by just letting it sit for a few days before pointing. I don't believe the people making production bullets will do that. This along with the many of other time consuming steps that go into the one component that accounts for 65% of your accuracy,
THE BULLET.................

Yes, custom bullets have a better chance of every bullet being exactly the same -dimensionally and metallurgy-wise so that they arrive on target with max stability - given that other factors are right for that particular bullet......it takes one less variable away from the equation.
Take that Houston Warehouse article and flush it down the can. There is more B/S in there than in a years worth of unsolicited "wisdom" offered between relays at matches.
Add Allie Euber's bullets to the .224/ 52 gr. list.

Sport Optics in Hammond has/or had them. Thea really work in any barrel made, well most almost any barrel.

I use this gun as my practice rifle, NO
complaints. Tac Driver

I like Ronnie Cheeks bullets also.It sure is worth trying a good custom bullet to squeeze out all the accuracy you can.
