Question about Rem model 582

I need to know the approximate height of the original front sight. I replaced mine with one but it is way too tall. If I filed it down I would lose the bead. Contacted Remington but did not get a response. Maybe someone has a original replacement?

When you say tall, are you hitting higher or lower than normal?
