6.5 br dies

Doe anyone know if I can use a Redding 6mm br Type S FL die for a 6.5 br? Or am I better off getting a Redding 6.5 br FL die? I don't want to do custom dies, just something off the shelf.

I use a 6mm BR die with a .284" bushing on my 6.5 BRX and it works well. The neck tension is pretty high but I'm running them in an AR so that's not a bad thing.

Disassemble the top of the die.
Take a drill bit with a shank diameter of between .293-.294" .... If it does not slide in the top of the die opening where the bushing sits then she is a no go unless you want to lap the opening.
Some dies are generous between calibers and some are not , you need to measure.

Call Redding as they have or make 6.5BR Dies on order. These are not Custom Dies (in the true sense of the words), but they just don't sell enough of them to keep in stock. It'll take them 10 - 14 days to actually make the dies and as I recall from a few years ago. I sent them 3 fired casings from my 6.5BR so they could make sure the dies were made to fit the needs of my rifle.
