Man there are a lot of them out there. How much money do you want to spend????? Even then then it`s put down your money and take a chance. Whenyou get into the better ones the ammo makes the differences between the winners and the losers. I have an old model 37 Rem. that I will put up against the best within some of the Wolf Match Extra ammo, but even some lots of it don`t shoot well enough in it to compete with other gun better matched to their best shooting ammo. Eley 10 X shoots well in all gun, but still may not be the best in your rifle, and even the best match rifles must have the ammo that they like best to win matches. I really think it`s more about the right ammo than it is about the right rifle.

Unless you are looking for minute of nat's hair accuracy, used model 54 Anschutz's are a good bet. Target shooters don't generally abuse their equipment. Even the 14xx's from back in the '70s shoot well; just may need to bed the stock.

For whatever reason, folks shooting benchrest seem to prefer the Remington 40X or Winchester 52 actions, or their clones, over the Anschutz. Check out this link. (just ignore the 10/22's)
