As 6mm VLD Berger bullets have been out of stock for some time, anyone have some intuition as when inventory levels are going to be "IN STOCK"?

Albany Mountain,
If you are asking about the 6mm 105 VLD . Project manufacture is end of March 2016. If its another 6mm please let me know here. We are working on scheduling procedures to help eliminate or at least reduce greatly the length of time our bullets are out of stock.

How many boxes of Berger 6mm 105 Gr. Match Target VLD's are you looking for?

Dennis

PS: Are there any other Berger Bullets needed? Let me know and I will see what I can do.

I learned an important lesson several years ago. If you plan on shooting a lot of a given Berger Bullet, lay in a big supply when they ARE available. Even then there is no guarantee.

I ordered 1,000 80.5 gr fullbores last fall. Received 500 and the remainder were backordered. Some day I'll see them. Good thing I ordered the thousand even though I needed only half that. When my B/O arrives I'll probably order another thou.

You'd think that Berger would consider adding another machine or two to their production line considering how what they do produce seems to run out of stock so often.

amlevin,
We have added more bullet AND jacket machines to our production floor effectively doubling our production capacity. However, this exposed another problem. Training new machine operators to our quality standards. This we are getting done along with working on a new production schedule . This, barring any unforeseen panics , should get out availability issues shortened in duration and or solved.

Thank You for increasing your production capacity. People are always one of the greatest hurdles in an endeavor like that. Also thank you for supporting the industry. Every match that I attended in the last two years Berger was a large sponsor.

Iowa Fox,
Thank you for the kind words !

Berger has had more than their share of issues with jacket machines being down for extended periods of time, or it was other issues as lead core being an issue.
Smartest advice is buy when you seen them and stay ahead of your needs!
But, the they have had issues with every production run of of 105's hybrids it seems missing their estimated product dates by months!

That advice also is good for powder, primers, and brass. Buy when you see them available and buy a year's supply (or more).

The ones that complain most are those that are used to just buying a box/pound when they need it and no are faced with the "new normal".
