Need some help, .17 fireball reload data

I am reloading for .17 fireball. I have 20 gr. & 25 gr. Hornady V-max bullets, I'm using alliant reloader 10x , remington 7 1/2 BR primer, lapua brass

I pulled this info off another forum and would like to know if its correct and safe to use. I talk with alliant tec. Tonight and all they had was data for reloader 7

20 Gr V Max
RL 10x powder start: 16.8 grains @ 3607 fps Max 18.5 grs @ 3954 fps

25 Gr Hornady HP
RL 10x powder start: 16.4 grs @ 3362 fps Max 18 grs @ 3682 fps

Thank you gentlemen.

bobcat93, I have no experience with RL10 in the .17 Fireball but I think it's burn rate is pretty close to H322 which is what I run in mine. I don't hot rod it (3850 with a 20g V-Max) and it is extremely accurate at this velocity. My buddy is running 8208 in his and it is also extremely accurate. I don't know what velocity he is running but I do know his shoots flatter than mine so I think he must be over 4000fps. Hope this helps. dedogs

Thanks guys..I'm still looking for some one to confirm the charge weight ..
I have been using the IMR xbr-8208..it seems to be good powder..I'm getting about 3680 fps out of my 10" Thompson center contender with it..I just wanted to check out the reloader 10 and see what it can do ..

In my rifle with a 25 grain Berger Match, 16.0 grains RL10X produced 3780 fps. For some reason I also tried 17.5 grains which produced 3920 fps with same bullet and blew a primer.

I have noted charge weights from Dan C off saubier.com for a 20 grain vmax at 17.4 gr to 18.3 gr for 3945 and 4140 fps respectively.

This info is from the release year of RL10x which has to be 10 years or so ago, so please use caution.

Thanks,

Chris

Added: I know why I tried 17.5 grain now. DanC had listed 17.0gr to 17.9gr for 3670-3850fps with a 25gr Starke bullet. Pretty sure he made his brass from IMI 223 cases and I was just running necked down Rem 221 Fireball brass.

Thank you Chris,
I registered on that other forum and got locked out..now I can't send info to the mods to unlock..lots of info there for small cal. Shooters..damn it...lol..
Maybe in just wasting time with the reloader 10× propellant..
I just love shooting these little cartridges..and reloading is a lot of fun also..the way I shoot at the range , I should quit trying different powders and save for another barrel..
I'll try this load and see what I get
Lapua 221 brass necked down to 17 and neck turned
Remington 7 1/2 BR. Primer
Hornady V-max 25 gr. Bullet
Allinant Reloader 10× @ 16.5 gr.
COL @ 1.800"
