Rem 700 ejector

Is there any accuracy advantage to removing the ejector on my 40 xb since it is single shot anyway? Thanks, Tom

I have never seen a difference in my guns. I only have enough tension to barely get the case out the gun. I also shoot the bullet in the lands. Matt

If you shoot hi pressure loads you need to plug the hole or brass will flow into it then get cut as you lift the bolt

Trim the spring so there is just enough tension to barely get the case out of the gun. This will help keep the case mouth from getting dinged , made oval from hitting the action. Works on my 40x single shot.

One on the left looks like the kind that come out of the rifle already decapped.

Not mine, but yes, expanded primer pocket from high pressure.
