It's probably slightly cheaper to shoot (less powder) and may have a longer barrel life. Other than that, it could be more accurate due to less recoil which causes some people to flinch and a better shoulder angle. It also will headspace off of the shoulder instead of the case belt which can lead to better accuracy.
If you cant find a load in 500 rounds, you should probably try something differentThe 26 Nosler holds 35% more powder than the 264 Winchester Magnum... which, itself, is no slouch in the barrel burning department.
With a volume of 93 grains, barrel life through a 6.5mm bore should be in the neighborhood of 400 to 500 rounds. By the time you work up a load, you need a new barrel.
