Anyone use Colonel Billy Stevens for BR Builds?

Thinking about having a renowned BR riflesmith do the machine work on my next build. Any of you have rifles built by Colonel Billy Stevens?
Quality/craftsmanship?
Turn around time?

Being a veteran myself, giving a retired Colonel my business appeals to me.

I owned a 30x47 hbr that he built on a Remington action. Shot lights out. Excellent smith, never heard anything bad about him.

Bart Sauter just earned enough points at the BR Nationals this week to be included in the HOF! Uses Col Billy Stevens builds exclusively! Yes he is good.

I Met Billy Stevens down at the Winds of Manatee.I introduced myself to him, he was a pleasure to speak with and a gentlemen. He remembered me from 3 barreled actions I had sent him. Billy only installed muzzle brakes on them for me, but did a professional job. I had researched his smithing, and many a rifle that he has built ran up in the top spots. Give him a call.

COL Stevens is as good as you will find. Although he only does Remington and custom actions, his work is superb and very reasonable in price. He has one of the best turnarounds of any of the "busy" gunsmiths. He has done my gunsmith work for many years and I have had zero complaints. He will return from the IBS Nationals on Monday. Thanks for the input fellas. I will give him a call Monday. Looking to get my Rem 722 completely worked over and get the timing just right. I'll ask him about them dies too. Sounds like he'd be a good choice.

I'll ask him about custom dies too. Does he make 7/8" threaded dies or just arbor dies? Can he work off a reamer print to make them or do I have to provide finish and sizing reamer? Thanks

He does make 7/8 x 14 threaded dies from Newlon blanks. He also does a great job fluting barrels. Good shooting....James

He built a 6.5-284 for me many years ago, and several guns since then. When he did the 6.5 he got the barrel from Butch Lambert, I called mr. Lambert and knew that the barrel was on its way to Col. Billy. A few days later I get a call from Col. Billy " Your barrel is here and its as long as a well rope!" I had never heard that one before. Col. Billy will do you right, and what ever he makes will shoot.
