No, but it will be great. I would love to have it. All my tikka's are great. The short barrel will only increase accuracy. Hope your going to reload for it.?I have a like new old stock Tikka t3 Scout 223 on its way,
I know it is an older Tikka version but can you guys recall much information about this rifle,
I know it has a 20” 8 twist barrel
Curious about anyone who has had experience with this model.
Thanks

Make the kids do the reloading ! Ha. But seriously the 60 grain berger bullet's with a full amount of varget powder is a good option.I would like to reload for it
I have all the reloading benches set-up
but time is limited with little kids,
They are my first priority
What load does your 223 like
ThanksI have a regular tikka t3, also with an 8 twist barrel but mine is 22".
This particular rifle loves benchmark and 53 gr v-maxes
WowI have a Tikka T3 Lite and the heavy Varmint model in 223 Rem. Great rifles. They both shoot sub 1/2 moa with 60 grain Vmax bullets and H4895. The Varmint model is a sub 1/4 moa if I do my part.
Wow
Thats good stuff for a factory rig
I take it they r both 8 twist factory barrels
Thanks for sharing what your 223 likes
Awesome newsThe Varmint model was a recent acquisition. I had some 60 Vmax bullets laying around so I loaded them up with H4895 and Federal 210 match primers. I was shocked by the results, my first group was .485, one flyer my fault. I retested and a second group measured .215 (five shot group). It does have an 8" twist. The trigger, like all Tikka's is great. I like the extra weight for precise shooting. Was hoping to try it out on ghogs this summer but COVIR-19 may prevent that from happening - we are under a "stay at home" order.
I'm shooting 55 Nosler BT's in the Tikka 3X lite because I have a ton of them. It also has an 8" twist. I had to tune down the velocity to get these bullets to group in the .5 to .6 range. But this rifle also like the 60 V max's in the .4's.
Thanks strut 64I owned one and have the following observations;
SAMMI 223rem chamber so the throat was "short"
Couldn't shoot heavy bullets but shot lighter well
The magazine was also limiting as to OAL.
I sold the rifle to fund other stuff I was doing
