SR 4759 Substitution

I DK what caliber/case you have in-mind ?

In .35 Remington, IMR4198 has worked superbly for my reduced loads.

FWIW:
Have read that 2400 can be safely shot @ any charge level; w/o running risk "secondary explosive effects".

Read up on what info you can find, and BE CAREFULL !

A little faster is 2400
A little slower is 4198

About the same burn rate is IMR 4227
and 5744. 5744 is specifically recommended for reduced loads.

IMR 4227 is widely used by scheutzen competitors.

Older Lyman manuals #44 for example have data for some of these powders as does the Lyman Cast Bullet Manual.
