Looking at this scope.
Haven't seen any recent reviews. Wondering if you still
like it and have you adjusted to some of the negatives
mentioned with it. (zero stop and no hash mark on body of tube for turret reference)

Evan, I read that review, but was back in June
Just wanted an update and if you still like it and have had a chance
to compare to any others scopes?
Also looking at the new Trijicon AccuPower 5-50
It's down to these two.

The geared focus and the great glass are real strong points. My disappointment with the zero-stop and turret markings has not abated; they are really letting this scope down. Overall, for target shooting at known distances, which is all I do, this scope is an excellent performer.

My 22BR that wears this scope has shot stunningly small at distance: http://forum.accurateshooter.com/threads/my-new-22br.3981971/page-3#post-37568139 so I think it holds POI solidly. I've not seen anything to suggest it is moving or not tracking reliably.

I've looked through a NF Competition next to my rifle on the firing line and feel like the SVSS-ED is 100% the equal in glass; the image quality between the two is negligible. Beyond that and the Vortex GE, I have a Vortex Razor HD 4-27x that does not compare in glass quality but again has much better turrets and controls.

I was looking at the SV and the Trijicon like you, and ended up with the Trijicon. My reasons were: Price- the street price of the Trijicon is around $1800 which is quite a bit less than the SV. 2- I wanted a floating dot reticle like the Golden eagle I have used the last couple of seasons. 3- the controls on the Trijicon are a lot better than the ones on the SV. So far, I could not be more pleased with the Trijicon. (btw, you have to get the mil version to get the floating dot reticle.)

Perfect. I'm leaving a GE, had a SIII 10-50 (not the SV ed glass)
I'm going with the MOA reticle it's a little more precise than the Mil
I wish they had the Mil reticle (dot) in the MOA version

Lancexxx will get you an svss for about that price. PM him and see what he can do for you if you are interested.

That was one of the first things I did.
Lance did come up with a great # for the scope.
Ended up ordering the Trijicon MRAD version.
I'm a MOA guy, but most of my distances are know and I did a little math
and the sub tensions between the two are almost identical.
And like beemanjohn, I like the dot better.
Will give a review on it, when I get some time behind it.
Thought I'd try something different. If I don't like it, might see it
up for sale here......
