Ruger new .22..?

Anyone here got a Ruger Wrangler yet..? Ruger has taken aim at getting some of the heritage rough rider money...
This thing looks like a fun little 6 shooter for $200... The review I read doesn't turn me off so far... Would like some real world reviews though....

I keep asking my various dealers.

They keep telling me they are all "allocated"... Which far as I can tell means they just aren't making it to the local dealer yet.

But it seems like a great little plinker at a great price

Believe it or not my local academy had all three different colors.... $199.99 I asked to see one , they definitely feel better than the heritage.... I am just waiting for my normal gift cards at Xmas and maybe even a sale and I am going to pick one up.... The nice wood or any security six grips will fit it if you don't like the plastic ones.... Felt pretty decent for the price... Another guy was waiting and bought one while I was there , said he had been to a couple of places already.... I think these are going to sell.....

When I saw these on tv and in the nra magazine I told my wife I wanted two of them in the burnt bronze color, you know so I could play cowboy...

Well she found two of them and brought them home to me about 2 weeks ago, we went out to our families farm and hammered on them shooting an entire brick of Remington golden bullets which are about the worst bulk packs one could get.. not a single miss fire and we’re pretty much point of aim. All in all I am thrilled with them especially for the money you can have 3 of them for the price of one single six or ten.

highly recommend it most fun I’ve had in a good while with a new gun!

Normally I get gift academy gift cards for Xmas.... I am just waiting to get them and I will pick one of these little pistols up for sure.... Your experience seems to be on par with everything I have read on these pistols... Ruger may have nailed it here and who doesn't like a gun like this .? They are just plain fun and cheap to shoot.....

I want to get one of these....but I think I want a full-on F-class 22rf benchrest gun more. So many good guns... so dangerous robbing banks and Brinks trucks ...

The good news is these little revolvers are $199.99 , so you know they will go on sale for $179 in the future especially at Academy if you shop there... Right now the demand is high , people are hunting for these things so I doubt they will go on sale for a little while....

Thought I would just add this since it's been awhile.....

These things ARE selling like crazy... Gun shops are backwards on them right now because of demand.. The reviews are still top notch... And one gun store around Austin TX said his price would be $175 which is even better than the $199 they are now... I am just waiting on the usual Xmas gift cards i get every year and I will be tracking one down....

My local academy has them in stock most of the time... Might try your's.... After Xmas I think they will be more plentiful once re-stocked...

I got one today... Will post more when I take it out and run a few hundred through it.... But the lock up , cocking etc is far tighter than the heritage pistols... There's definitely more of a quality feel than the Wrangler..

Ok , so after a few hundred rounds.... Wow , good luck finding a 6 shooter that shoots like this gun... It's worth double....

Shot it some more and am still shocked at how good this little pistol shoots.... It's poa and poi is very nice right out of the box , it shoots were you aim it.... I was a little worried about the cerakote finish staining because.22 is so nasty but NOPE when done I wiped it off with a rag and it came right off...

Every year I get gift cards for Xmas and use them to buy some thing I would not buy normally.... Last year it was an ECW9S it also was shockingly good but the Wrangler I wanted , there's no comparison to the Wrangler and the heritage rough rider the Wrangler is very nice the only thing is they don't make a Wrangler in .22 mag which is fine to me because I didn't buy it to shoot $12 a box Rimfire... The Wrangler has been selling like hot cakes and now I see why...

This will be my last comments on the Wrangler because there's nothing left to say... For $199 bucks if it's something you will enjoy I can't recommend it enough and with them selling like they are I am sure you will have a friend with one you can try before you buy before long... You can add the nice wood grips that fit the security six for $35 bucks if you want and they look great and really dress it up....LOL which I ordered today , couldn't help myself....

Having owned a Security Six for over 40 years and loving it I am not desperate to own one but plan to get one for my wife to shoot when they finally become more available. I am sure I will also put some rounds thru it as well.

So far so good with mine , and yes sir if you wait , I couldn't lol , I bet you can pick one up for $179 on sale as soon as everything dies down a bit... As stated I have a heritage and it was also an Xmas gift card buy and I have put a ton of rounds through it but there's no comparison between it and the Wrangler.... I am not a cheap gun kinda guy at all but I really like this little gun and if it holds up over time it will be a real money maker for Ruger... I love a good old cowboy gun , it takes all day to shoot it but it's a day of fun....

I got 2 black ones as a gift. Very good deal but only 6 shots- less than half the price of the more shot models. In stock at my academy today as well.
