Its been a little bit since my last post, but Ive been at it all over with trapping and calling. Fur is really great also.
41 taken since mid Oct to today, called & trapped.
Went out last night with a pal and dropped 5 in 3 hrs time, then set 26 traps with another pal today.
Sure is nice to be retired and 5 days out of 7 calling/trapping coyote, knocking on old & new doors.
Using an AR15 in .223 I built, suppressed, Pulsar XP38 thermal, 55g vmax handload.
Last night at 170 yards, 1 of the 5 we shot with no calling in this drainage they use to access 2 ranches.
This guy came running/hopping by in the tall stuff, turned around and was looking for the sound, just saw his head and figured where his neck was and dropped on the spot.
