I'm planning on getting a Bighorn TL3 action (Remington clone) and need a light trigger for bench only shooting. Is the Jewell benchrest trigger the way to go? Thanks.

There are alot of choices, I would say nothing wrong with any of them. I have all Jewell triggers in my benchrest rifles and some other hunting. No complaints with any of them.

As has been said "Get a Jewell". Call Larry Scott or go on his website. The HVRTSBR is a good trigger. It will adjust from 1 1/2 ounces to 3 LBS. That will cover any shooting you will do. Larry ships fast and is easy to deal with too. Just happen to have that link.

Karl’s dead, but yeah, he did. 1.5 oz or so at the bottom end, all the way well into the pounds, on the same trigger design.

WAY consistent in break. WAY pricey. WAY not available, and all hand made.

They also required removal of stock material die to the length of one of the middle levers and required housing to cover it.

But yeah. Some would say they are the best of the best.

I have jewel, trigger tech, and Timney. I like them all. Can’t really tell the difference between them honestly. You would be happy with a jewel.

I have a Trigger Tech Diamond on my 6br PRS rifle and a Jewell 2oz on my 6mm Competition Match Benchrest rifle. For Benchrest I'd go Jewell.
