Johnsons Paste Wax works. Is shoe/boot polish an effective release agent???
Use clear shoe polish,works good
CRC Lecithin mold release.
I did not know that product existed,it looks ideal.I like that it is aerosol ,makes things easy. Thanks for posting.
Try some Pam cooking spray. Covers everything. Don't let the wife catch you. Tommy Mc
I follow the Richard Franklin guidance. He uses Kiwi neutral. It works perfectly and you control the thickness.
Don't decide that imperial must be as good as shoe polish, it doesn't go on as smooth. I've used Pam and shoe polish, both gave me super slick great looking beds. One night discovered I didn't have what I was looking for and used Imperial sizing lube. Bed looks like a dirt road.
Johnson's paste wax works excellent
Mother's Carnuba ............smells good too!
Kiwi "NEUTRAL" color shoe polish is the only way to go. You actually polish the metal like you would your boots so it's a nice thin layer. Dont just slop it on.
The biggest thing I hate about other pastes and waxes is how thick of a layer they make on the metal. Shoe polish is so thin once its polished out. Makes for a more perfect fit
Hornady Oneshot worked well for me as a release agent
I like PolEase2300 for an aerosol release and Partall #2 Paste wax.
No one uses Brownells Acra Release? Have a can I have used for 20+ years. Little goes a long way.
I use it. Have been using it for 15+ years. Have plenty of wood and stickers and what not to back up the fact it works. But the last time this subject came up I explained how well it works and a couple of the "keyboard experts" told me if it works that well you are not getting a good fit. So I say use it at your own risk!! But I'm still using it.
